Brooks Memorial State Park
Brooks Memorial State Park is on US-97 about 13 miles north of Goldendale and just south of Satus Pass. The conference is held in the Environmental Learning Center on the east side of US-97.
If you're driving to the park by way of Goldendale, head north on US-97 from Goldendale and take a right into the park shortly after the Monastery Bakery.
If you're coming from the north, look for park signs after Satus Pass and take a left into the park.
Past Participant Lodging Choices
Rustic cabins and plenty of tent spots are available at no additional charge. Just show up to the conference and we'll give further instructions. If you're camping, you'll need to bring your own tent and equipment. If you're planning to stay in the rustic cabins, bring sheets and a pillow. For camping or cabins, bring a towel and toiletries. Since this is a conference about data, we've collected the data and found about 65% of participants camp, 20% use the rustic cabins, and the remaining 15% stay at nearby hotels.
There are two hotels in Goldendale that participants have used in the past:
The Quality Inn is the preferred hotel. There are no room blocks or specials for the conference.
We strongly encourage carpooling to and from the event. Many participants will be driving to the conference from Portland or Seattle, so there should be opportunity to give or catch a ride. We'll send out a tracking document before the conference to help coordinate rides.
